<br />Section 9. Security Policy. While the City's ability to connect to the Internet offers potential <br />benefits, it can also open the door to some significant risks to our data and system if City <br />employees do not follow appropriate security discipline. A City employee can be held <br />accountable for any breaches of security or confidentiality. The City Manager is authorized to <br />adopt a security policy. <br /> <br />Section 10. Severability. The provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable and if <br />any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance shall, for any reason, be held invalid or <br />unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, sentences, <br />clauses and phrases of this Ordinance but they shall remain in effect, it being the legislative <br />intent that this Ordinance shall stand notwithstanding the invalidity of any part. <br /> <br />Section 11. Effective Date.
