<br />(3) Assure that the flood carring capacity within the altered or relocated portion of any <br />watercourse is maintained. <br /> <br />(4) Manufactured homes shall be installed using methods and practices that minimize flood <br />damage. They must be elevated and anchored to prevent flotation, collapse, or lateral <br />movement. Methods of anchoring may include, but not limited to, use of over-the -top or <br />frame ties to ground anchors. Section CO I ). naye the lowest floer of <br />the lowest eaelosed area (illeladiBg basemeflt) ele'lated flO less tnafl three (3) feet above the <br />highest adjaeem grade at the BaildiBg site. <br /> <br />Section D. <br /> <br />STANDARDS FOR STREAMS WITH ESTABLISHED BASE FLOOD <br />ELEVATION WITHOUT REGULARORY FLOODW A YS. <br /> <br />Located within the areas of special flood hazard established in by this Ordinance, where streams <br />exist but where no base flood data has been provided or where base flood data has been provided <br />without floodways, the following provisions apply: <br /> <br />Until a regulatory floodway is designated, no new construction, substantial improvements, or other <br />development (including fill) shall be permitted within the areas of special flood hazard, designated as <br />zoned AI-30 and AE on the FIRM, unless it is demonstrated that the cumulative effect of the <br />proposed development, when combined with all other existing and anticipated development will not <br />increase the water surface elevation ofthe base flood more than one foot at any point within the City. <br /> <br />Development activities in Zones AI-30, AE, and AH, on the City's FIRM which increase the water <br />surface elevation of the base flood by more than one foot may be allowed, provided that the <br />developer or applicant first applies - with the City's endorsement - for a conditional FIRM revision, <br />and receives the approval of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. <br /> <br />Flood Damage Prevention Ord. <br />Legislation/Ordinances/Attorney <br />4ntOJ --5:04 PM <br /> <br />19 <br />
