ORDINANCE NO. 2003- r g~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 703.2.2(d) OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS TO ALLOW "GOVERNMENT -OWNED" FACILITIES AS A PERMITTED USE; AND ADDING 703.2.5, PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN EXEMPTIONS FROM SITE DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS; PROVIDING FOR A REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, in reviewing the lack of available properties for communities facilities and the need to create those facilities to serve the citizens of the City of Sunny Isles Beach; and WHEREAS, the City will need to make use of as much of the property on any given site as possible for the service and benefit of the community; and NOW THERFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 703.2.2 shall be amended as follows: 703.2.2 Permitted Uses. No building or structure, or part thereof, within the City shall be erected, altered or used, or land used in whole or in part for other than one or more of the following specific uses, subject to all other applicable standards and requirements contained in this ordinance: (a) Auditoriums, libraries, cultural centers, museums and galleries related to the fine arts; neighborhood or community centers. (b) Schools, primary and secondary public or private educational facilities, colleges and universities, public and private including business colleges, and trade schools. (c) Religious Facilities, churches, synagogues, temple or other places of worship and religious assembly, (d) Strnctl:lres aRd l:lses reql:lired for the performaRce of a govemmeRtal fl:lflction.
