<br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />FEE SCHEDULE <br /> <br />5. SPECIAL PROJECTS: <br /> <br />A fee equal to actual staff time and related costs shall be assessed for special projects requiring <br />research by the Building Department in order to answer questions proposed by developers, attorneys, <br />realtors, or municipalities, etc., in connection with the use, re-subdivision, and development of <br />properties, or to determine if any existing violations are on the property through a review of <br />departmental records. Such special fee only will be levied for requests outside the scope of normal <br />departmental work. A minimum fee of $60.00 shall be charged. A fee equal to $2.00 per page shall <br />be assessed fro pre-programmed computer reports on Building Department records. The minimum <br />fee shall be $50.00. <br /> <br />X022 6. GENERAL INFORMATION <br /> <br />(a) A $0.01 per square foot fee will be added to building permits for the State of Florida to study <br />building code requirements for radon gas, and certification and regulation of building code <br />administrators, plans examiners and inspectors. <br /> <br />(b) A fee of six (6) percent (for concurrency review) of the total permit fee will be added to <br />original fees where a concurrency review was performed. <br /> <br />(c) Impact fees are assessed on certain building permits, including re-application on expired <br />permits (contact the Impact Fee Section for details on these fees). <br /> <br />A037 7. INSPECTIONS REQUIRING OVERTIME <br /> <br />Charges for construction inspections, which are requested in advance and which require that <br />employee work overtime will be at a rate of $75.00 per hour and in accordance with applicable <br />employee contracted bargaining agreements. <br /> <br />8. FEES BASED ON ESTIMATED COST - DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />The Building Department may require the permit applicant to submit appropriate documentation as <br />proof of estimated cost of construction used to compute permit fees. <br /> <br />9. TRAINING AND EDUCATIONAL FEES <br /> <br />All permits for new construction, alterations or additions shall be accom anied b a ent of <br />training and educational fee of one -l% <br />.. of permit fee cost. All fees collected pursuant hereto shall be set aside to offset the cost of <br />training and education of personnel in the regulation, inspection and enforcement of the South <br />Florida Building Code Florida Building Code. <br /> <br /> <br />10. CERTIFICATES OF COMPLETION AND TEMPORARY CERTIFICATES OF <br />COMPLETION FEES <br /> <br />Fee for Certificates of Completion and Temporary Certificates of Completion issued by the <br />Building Department will be assessed in accordance with the Department of Planning and Zoning <br />Fee Schedule. <br />
