Hines, City Clerk <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Gty Commission <br /> <br />A John Szerlag, Gty Manager G <br />Susan Simpson, Cultural & Human Services Dire~ . <br />October 19, 2006 <br /> <br />AMENDING SECTION 256.14 OF TIlE OTY CODE TO ESTABLISH <br />PARKING METER RATES <br /> <br />RECOM.MENDA nON: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the Gty Commission approve the attached Ordinance. <br /> <br />REASON: <br /> <br />The Gty Commission desires to establish new parking meter rates for the Ellen Wynne Beach <br />Access, the William Lehman Ovetpass (Center Island), Pier Park, and under the William Lehman <br />Bridge parking lots. The proposed rates will offset some of the administrative and operational costs <br />for the metered parking areas as well as serve the public's need for parking. <br /> <br />The proposed rate changes are as follows: <br /> <br />Name Location CUlRnt Rate Proposed Rate <br />Pier Park 166 St. & Collins Ave. $6.00/ day weekday Same <br /> $10.00/ day weekends and <br /> holidays <br />William Lehman Bridge 192 St. & Collins Ave. (west) $6.00/ day weekday Same <br /> $10.00/ day weekends and <br /> holidays <br />Ellen Wynne Beach Access 192 St. & Collins Ave. (east) $1.00 per hour $2.00 per hour <br />William Lehman Overpass 191 St. & Collins Ave. (center island) $1.00 per hour $2.00 per hour <br /> <br />All parking lots will operate 24 hours per day, seven days per week with a twelve hour maximum.
