<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by tho City
<br />Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, in the Sunny Isles Beach

<br />SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR NEW BUSINESS CATEGORIES; PROVIDING FOR
<br />NEW ADMINISTRATIVE PENALTIES; PROVIDING FOR REPEALER,
<br />SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

<br />NOVEMBER 13, 2007, TO TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2007, PURSUANT TO A
<br />REQUEST MADE BY THE MIAMI-DADE ELECTIONS DEPARTMENT;
<br />ESTABLISHING DECEMBER 4, 2007, AS THE RUN-OFF ELECTION DATE;
<br />PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR REPEALER; PROVIDING
<br />FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

<br />with the City Clerk by completing a public speakers' card prior to the item being heard.
<br />The hearings cn these malters may be continued at this meeting and under such
<br />circumstances, addllional legal notice would not be provided. If a person decides to
<br />appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter
<br />considered at such meeting, they will need a record of the proceedings and, for such
<br />purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which

<br />The Miami Beach Commu-
<br />nity Health Center has devel-
<br />oped a new support group
<br />aimed at child obesity and the
<br />emotional stigma associated
<br />with it.
<br />The Childhood Obesity
<br />Prevention Program, CHOPP,
<br />is a support group (or over-
<br />weight children and their par-
<br />ents. Meetings will be at two
<br />locations:
<br />. 3:30p.m. the first Thurs-
<br />day of every month at the cen-
<br />ter's Beverly Press Health
<br />Center, 1221 71stSt.

<br />Thursday o{the month at the

<br />scheduled for Thursday at the

<br />Stanley Myers Center and

<br />dietitian and licensed nutri-
<br />tionistatthecenter,willbethe
<br />program director.
<br />Although the support group
<br />is open to the public, the pro-
<br />gram is primarily aimed at
<br />Hispanic youths to age 18,
<br />according to a center news
<br />release.
<br />It will feature lessons on
<br />sound nutrition, exercise and
<br />activity, menu planning and
<br />how to prepare low-fat, nutri-
<br />tional recipes.
<br />Exercise will also be incor-
<br />porated into most sessions.
