Solera, Community Development Directo'\j <br /> <br />December 13, 2007 <br /> <br />Amending Driveway Standards. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDA TION <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission approve the attached Ordinance relating to signs. <br /> <br />REASONS <br /> <br />After reviewing Code Section 265-47(0), it's the Departments OpInIOn that a reVISIOn and <br />clarification of the Section is required. As such the Department is proposing the attached <br />Ordinance that will clarify the need for any additional or secondary driveway to provided a <br />minimum of 12' -0" in width and meet all driveway standards. It also clarifies the section in <br />reference to circular driveways and provides for a minimum width of 10'-0" and a minimum <br />setback of 5' -0" from the subject property line for all primary and secondary driveways. <br /> <br />In addition the section includes language to assure that all recreational vehicles such as boats, jet <br />skies and others be located in the rear yard or in the side yard to rear of the a line established by <br />the front building line furthest from the street with an enclosure installed around the subject area <br />to obstruct the view of the vehicle from the rights-of-ways. It further clarifies that parking pads <br />located behind the front building line are not to be construed as driveways for the purpose of this <br />Ordinance, and that they may be installed contiguous to an approved driveway with approved <br />permits from the Building Department. <br /> <br />Agenda Item q A <br /> <br />Date J... /7 - 0 <l <br />
