<br />corrections required hereby, shall be cause to issue a stop-work order for the <br />project. <br /> <br />Section C. <br /> <br />DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ADMINISTRATOR. <br /> <br />Duties of the Building Official shall include, but shall not be limited to: <br /> <br />(1) Rcview all development permits to assure that the permit requirements of this Ordinance <br />have been satisfied. <br /> <br />(2) Ad','ise permittee that additional Federal or State permits may be required, and if specific <br />Federal or State permit requirements are kno',vn, require that copies of such permits be <br />provided and maintained on file 'Nith the development permit. <br /> <br />(3) Notify adjacent communities and thc appropriate State agencies prior to any altcration or <br />relocation of a watercourse and submit evidence of such notification of the Federal <br />Emergency Management ,'\gency. <br /> <br />(1) }.ssure that maintenance is provided 'Nithin the altered or relocated portion of said <br />watercourse so that flood carrying capacity is not diminished. <br /> <br />(5) Verify and record the actual elevation, in relation to mean sea level, of the lowest floor <br />(including basement) of all new or substantially impro','ed structures, in accordance 'Nith <br />Article 5, Section B(1). <br /> <br />(6) Verify and record the actual elevation, in relation to mean sea level, to which the new or <br />substantially improved structures have been flood proofed, in accordance with ,^.rticle 1- <br />Section B(2) and Scction D(2). <br /> <br />(7) In Coastal High Hazard ,^.reas, certification shall be obtained from a registered <br />professional enginecr or architect that the structure is designed and securely anchored to <br />adequately anchored pilings or columns in order to 'tvithstand velocity waters and hurricanc <br />'.yave ','lash. <br /> <br />(8) In Coastal High Hazard ,^.reas, the Building Official shall revie'.v plans for adequacy of <br />breaka'.vay '.valls in accordance with ,^.rticle 5, Section (B)(6)(f). <br /> <br />(9) \Vhen flood proofing is utilized for a structure, the Building Official shall obtain <br />certification from a registered professional engineer or architect, in accordance with ,^.rticle <br />5, (B)(2) and 5(D)(2). <br /> <br />(10) 'Nhere interpretation is needed as to the exact location of boundaries of the areas of special <br />flood hazard (for example. v,here there appears to be a conflict betvieen a mapped <br />boundary and actHal field conditions) the Building Official shall make the necessary <br />interpretation.
