Grandinetti, Police Captain <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />7/15/2010 <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Authorization to Apply For, Receive and Expend Grant Money from <br />the Miami-Dade County, Federal Drug Control and System <br />Improvement Program (Byrne IJAG Grant FY2011) for the <br />purchase of document scanners for the "Records Improvement" <br />program. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission approve a Resolution authorizing <br />the Mayor to apply for, receive, and expend monies from the Miami-Dade County <br />Federal Drug Control and System Improvement Program (Byrne/JAG Grant) in <br />the amount of $5,173. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach Police Department has been given preliminary <br />approval of grant funds totaling $5,173.00 in order to purchase two document <br />scanners and battery back-up systems to support the "Records Improvement" <br />program. <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br /> <br />These funds will be utilized to purchase two document scanners and battery <br />back-up systems to allow hand written forms to be attached to electronically <br />created documents. <br /> <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br /> <br />No cash match is required <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />.
