Vera, Assistant City Manager?Service Division <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />6/17/2010 <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Cleaning of Storm Water Drains and Catch Basins <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of the attached resolution. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />On a yearly basis the cleaning of the storm water drains, catch basins and jetting of lines <br />is done throughout the City in preparation for the hurricane season as well as to meet the <br />requirements of the State Department of Environmental Protection. <br /> <br />The City solicited written quotes from 3 vendors including the current contractor <br />Shenandoah Construction Company which is providing this service to the City. Of the 3 <br />contractors, F.A. Johnson Inc. was the lowest responsive responsible bidder. <br /> <br />The City wishes to enter into an agreemnt with F.A. Johnson, Inc. to perform <br />the cleaning of storm drains, catch basins and jetting of lines throughout the City. for an <br />amount not to exceed $19,950.00. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />.
