<br />Preview <br /> <br />Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br /> <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />The Honorable Mayor and City Commission <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Rick Conner, City Manager <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />9/16/2010 <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />A Resolution approving a contract with Dade Contracting to reconstuct <br />the entrance to the City property located at 287 Sunny Isles Boulevard in <br />an amount not to exceed $19,011.00. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />The staff recommends approval of the contract with Dade Contracting to reconstuct the <br />entrance to the City property located at 287 Sunny Isles Boulevard in an amount not to <br />exceed $19,011.00. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />Because of the recent demolition of the buildings on the City's property at 287 Sunny <br />Isles Boulevard, we now have a curb cut that leads to a severe grade differental creating a <br />somewhat questionable condition. This contract will allow us to fill in the depressed <br />area and reestablish the previously existing driveway. The two benefits are that we will <br />create a very safe environment in the area, and we will assure our prior existing rights to <br />the curb cut on this State Road. <br /> <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br /> <br />This project will be funded out of Capital Projects Account Number 20-600-5688 <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />.
