Hines, CMC, City Clerk <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />9/16/20 I 0 <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Resolution Approving an Agreement with Municipal Code Corporation <br />for Supplementation Services of the City's Code of Ordinances <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission approve the attached Resolution approving <br />an Agreement with Municipal Code Corporation for supplementation services of the <br />City's Code of Ordinances. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />The City entered into an agreement with General Code Publishers on September 20, 200 I <br />via Resolution No. 2001-365 for codification services, which expires on September 30, <br />2010. Staff has been looking into other companies and received proposals from General <br />Code, Municipal Code Corporation, and American Legal Publishing Corporation. All <br />three companies run about the same amount of money between $18 and $20 per page, <br />single column. After reviewing the proposals, staff would like to go with Municipal Code <br />Corporation as it is a local entity used by most of the municipalities in the State of <br />Florida, faster service, compatible with our current system, more user friendly, and the <br />hyper links are easier to read. <br /> <br />The attached agreement with Municipal Code Corporation for supplementation services <br />includes researching, editing, indexing, and publishing in print and electronically the <br />enacted legislation for inclusion in the Code. It is for a period of three (3) years and will <br />be automatically renewed from year to year provided that each party may cancel or <br />change this Agreement with sixty (60) days written notice. <br /> <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br /> <br />Funding is available in the City Clerk's Budget in Account No. 10-516-5475. <br /> <br />ATT ACHMENTS: <br />.
