Additionally, PGIT has recommended the City
increase the limits and decrease the deductible of its Public Officials and Employment
Practices Liability coverage at a nominal cost of $2,114. Drug-Free Workplace and
Safety Program credits are included in the PGIT proposal.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The City has had a Commercial Package Policy (Property, Liability, and Auto) and
Workers Compensation insurance coverage with PGIT since October 2003. However, in
2009 the Florida League of Cities was more competitive in their workers compensation
bid and the City selected them to provide workers compensation insurance coverage at
that time. This year PGIT was more competitive in all aspects of the bidding process and
so with their selection we will have one insurance provider for all of these services.

Our independent insurance consultant, Siver Insurance Consultants, has reviewed the
proposals, and they have confirmed the proposals are for same and/or similar types and
levels of coverage. Additionally, Siver opined that PGIT offered the best overall
combination of cost and coverage. A copy of Siver's review comments and staffs
response has been included for your review.

Thank you.

FUNDING SOURCE:

This item is budgeted in Risk Management (533).

ATTACHMENTS:
.
