Grandinetti, Captain <br /> <br />3/1812010 <br /> <br />Authorization to Apply For, Receive and Expend Grant Money from <br />the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Justice Assistance <br />Grant (JAG Direct Grant FY2010) in the amount of $6,521.00 for <br />the purchase of a Stand Alone DVDlnterview Recording System. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission approve a Resolution authorizing <br />the Mayor to apply for, receive, and expend monies from the Florida Department <br />of Law Enforcement, Justice Assistance Grant (JAG Direct Grant FY2010) in the <br />amount of $6,521.00. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach Police Department has been given preliminary <br />approval of grant funds totaling $6,521.00 in order to purchase a Stand Alone <br />DVD Interview. Recording System to be utilizied by our Investigative Services <br />Division <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br /> <br />With the purchase of this recording system, The Investigative Services' Division <br />will upgrade the police interview room to a state of the art system that will allow <br />our investigators to record/document, listen and view interviews locally or from <br />remote locations, capturing pertinent information to be utilized during <br />prosecution. <br /> <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br /> <br />$6,521.00 Grant Funds, $1,083.00 matched from General Fund Account# 10-700-5211 <br />Total; $7,604.00 <br /> <br />Agenda Item No.lOB <br />Date 3/18/2010 <br />
