Maas, Chief of Police
Michael A. Grandinetti, Captain

3/18/2010

Approval to accept donation of a three (3) wheeled Electric "Ride"
Scooter

RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution to
approve the acceptance of a donation of a (3) three wheel, electric Ride Scooter
for use by the Police Department from the Parrillo Family in conjunction with
Argus Fire and Casualty.

REASONS:

With the development of additional parks and green space within the City,
including but not limited to HeritagePark and the Intracoastal Parks, there will be
a need for additional police patrol to provide public safety. Not all spaces and
areas are traversable by way of vehicle. The addition of a (3) wheeled scooter,
completely marked and identified as an official police vehicle, will add to the
safety and coverage of these areas, providing many benefits to uniformed, park
patrol.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

ATTACHMENTS:
.
