<br />Below and attached please find the responses to RFI's submitted during the <br />mandatory pre-proposal meeting for RFP NO.1 0-09-01, Design and Construction <br />of Fabric Canopy Structure at Government Center: <br /> <br />1. How far out does the canopy go? The canopy must go out at least 9' at <br />the front of the building and as it wraps around to the side will open up to <br />at least 18'. Please note that this is a proposal process and dimensions <br />may vary somewhat. <br /> <br />2. Does the proposer have to provide an actual design at the time of <br />submittal? An actual completed design is not required. Proposer shall <br />submit sufficient information necessary for the City to make a <br />determination as to extent, impact, value, quality, and intent of the vendor. <br /> <br />3. Does the proposer include the removal of the palms located in the planters <br />adjacent to the building: There are two planters that contain <br />landscaping/palms/uplights. The proposer shall include the removal of the <br />palms if required to meet compliance with proposer's intended and <br />approved work. <br /> <br />4. Does the proposer include the removal of the electrical from the planters? <br />The proposer shall include ALL work necessary to ensure that electrical <br />wires are capped adequately. Uplights will be removed by proposer and <br />returned to the City. <br /> <br />5. Can the date for submission of proposal be extended one week? Yes, it <br />has been rescheduled to Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the <br />First Floor Meeting Room. <br /> <br />6. The structural cross sections provided in the RFP are not clear. Can <br />these sections be clarified? Yes. See attached document depicting <br />Section 12/S5004 and Section 11 /S5004. <br /> <br />7. Is the City going to be responsible to replace pavers that have been <br />damaged during the work? The proposer shall be completely responsible <br />for repairing damage to existing facilities. <br /> <br />8. Will planters remain or are they required to be filled once the landscaping <br />has been removed by the proposer? Once landscaping has been <br />removed the proposer shall be required to replace concrete or pavers as <br />required to maintain a walkable surface. <br />
