<br />TECHNICAL AND FINANCIAL PROPOSAL <br />Demolition and Reconstruction of the Historic Sunny Isles Beach/New Port Fishing Pier <br />Pier Park, City of Sunny Isles Beach, FL <br /> <br />3.6 Environmental Issues and Concerns <br /> <br />The Team will work with FDEP and the City to create a sound understanding of the permit conditions. Water <br />control will be monitored on a daily basis and will be recorded. Documentation of manatee sightings will be <br />recorded on a daily basis during offshore construction. In case of turtle nesting issues, this will discussed <br />during the negotiation process. <br /> <br />3.7 Inspection Coordination <br /> <br />The Team understands that the City and other regulatory agencies will be conducting periodic or routine visits <br />throughout the entire duration of this project. The Team will facilitate these visits and ensure that no delays in <br />productivity take place. The Team will provide a minimum of 48 hours (2 business days) advance notice to the <br />Engineer and the City during any critical stage of construction. <br /> <br />3.8 Construction Safety and Housekeeping <br /> <br />The Project Manager or his designated Safety Coordinator will conduct weekly safety meetings. These <br />meetings are recorded and all employees must sign the safety log acknowledging their attendance. A City <br />representative is welcome to attend these meetings. Construction workers will be required to wear safety <br />equipment at all times. These include long pants, work boots, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, life vests, etc. <br /> <br />The Team will keep the site clear of all work debris, trash and waste materials during the construction <br />process. The Team will coordinate a traffic plan during unloading/loading of supplies and materials. <br /> <br />3.9 Maintenance of Traffic <br /> <br />The Team will maintain a safe roadway and pedestrian path during all phases of construction. <br /> <br />3.10 Staging Area <br /> <br />A well-organized staging area is crucial aspect to the efficiency of this project. The Team will work diligently <br />with City and other stakeholders to secure the area. <br /> <br />3.11 Construction Wastes <br /> <br />The Team will dispose of waste materials at proper disposal facilities. Upon project completion and <br />demobilization, the Team will leave the site free and clear of construction debris. <br /> <br />Page 8 of 15 <br />
