BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) Project Description: The ground level is composed only of new public restroom, vertical access and limited storage. This design has three separate straight stairs, which provide easy vertical circulation from just about any point of the overall site. The concept was developed as an "l" shaped footprint which separates public from private by propinquity. This is to say that, while everything is on the same level, they are juxtapositioned in such a way that they can co-exist in harmonic order, allowing both public and private users privacy. The design provides a shared elevator which will serve all of the functions. The multipurpose room has its own stair and (2) two restrooms, as well as a small kitchenette area. Since all of the functions are on one level, the multipurpose room may serve as a larger conference room or lounge for the Dock Master. The design also offers men's and women's private restroom and shower areas, as well as a laundry room. The Dock Master Offices are made up of (3) three private offices, a large conference room, storage room copy & file area and a private toilet. As you enter the Dock Master Office, you will enter a compact lobby and reception area. This concept takes into account ventilation and other green building attributes. The large overhangs, typical of the Florida Vernacular Style are taken advantage of in this design, which allows for a three-sided terrace surrounding the Dock Master's office. Furthermore, the narrowness and tightness of the "l" shaped design allows the new building to open up to the marina and creates a sense of space in the plaza outside. 25.
