BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br /> <br />Project Description: <br />The ground level is composed only of new public restroom, <br />vertical access and limited storage. This design has three <br />separate straight stairs, which provide easy vertical circulation <br />from just about any point of the overall site. The concept was <br />developed as an "l" shaped footprint which separates public <br />from private by propinquity. This is to say that, while everything <br />is on the same level, they are juxtapositioned in such a way <br />that they can co-exist in harmonic order, allowing both public <br />and private users privacy. The design provides a shared <br />elevator which will serve all of the functions. The multipurpose <br />room has its own stair and (2) two restrooms, as well as a <br />small kitchenette area. Since all of the functions are on one <br />level, the multipurpose room may serve as a larger conference <br />room or lounge for the Dock Master. The design also offers <br />men's and women's private restroom and shower areas, as well as a laundry room. The Dock <br />Master Offices are made up of (3) three private offices, a large conference room, storage room <br />copy & file area and a private toilet. As you enter the Dock Master Office, you will enter a <br />compact lobby and reception area. This concept takes into account ventilation and other green <br />building attributes. The large overhangs, typical of the Florida Vernacular Style are taken <br />advantage of in this design, which allows for a three-sided terrace surrounding the Dock Master's office. Furthermore, the <br />narrowness and tightness of the "l" shaped design allows the new building to open up to the marina and creates a sense of <br />space in the plaza outside. <br /> <br /> <br />25.
