<br /> Role: Quality ControU Quality Assurance. The renovation and alteration to the existing fabric of the Port of Miami Terminal C, located in
<br /> Biscayne Bay, Florida. The scope of which includes the demolition and removal of elements to create new openings to the existing building for
<br /> three new entrance gates to receive the new passenger boarding bridge link to NCL's largest cruise liner. Our design intervention had to be
<br /> sensitive to the history of four subsequent additions and alterations over the last 30 years to meet the shipping and growth demands of South
<br /> Florida's community. The secondary support for the entrance gate and door was designed to be a standalone system behind the existing
<br /> window system. New steel supports and building system for the North gate opening was designed to behave in the same manner as the
<br /> existing while complying with new code requirements. Redundant ducts and HV AC systems where retained, painted, capped (to avoid opening
<br /> existing roof penetrations) and concealed with a new eQQ crate ceilina svstem, creatina a oleasant and free flowina ooen space below.
