The <br />Webster has also teamed up with acclaimed Parisian restaurant Caviar Kaspia in the launch of its first establishment in the United <br />States, This adaptive re-use project has set new standards in the Historic Art Deco District in Miami Beach and has met and exceed <br />all expectations from the City of Miami Beach Historic Preservation Department. The owners and operators are very proud of the <br />projects' accomplishments in this unique transformation and adaptive reuse project completed by the Borges + Associates team. <br /> <br />U.S. CUSTOMS FACILITY <br /> <br />The U,S. Customs Facjlity at the Miami Free Zone was an adaptive re-use project. The Borges team designed the new headquarter <br />offices for the Customs Director onto an existing bridge that the Miami Free Zone planned to abandon. The Borges team came up <br />with a creative solution to utilize this space for offices that gave the bridge a new life and avoided its demolition. <br /> <br />Our Senior Project Manager, Mike Ritus has extensive experience managing projects nationally including the design and <br />documentation of new construction and remodels, renovations and adaptive re-use conversions; review of contract documents and <br />field observation; and the preparation of specifications for various building types. Building types include car dealership, housing for <br />the elderly, schools, restaurants, hotels, a penthouse nightclub, multi-family housing, office buildings, warehouses, shopping <br />centers, retail stores, banks and other commercial building types, <br /> <br />He is an expert in preparation of written documentation for code analysis, rezone and variance procedures, urban planning, site <br />evaluation and environmental impact studies. He has direct experience with interior space programming analysis for the State of <br />Washington agencies and has completed urban planning reports/master plans for the Portland District, U.S. Army Corps of <br />Engineers, <br /> <br />Office Location <br /> <br />Borges + Associates has offices located in Florida, Maryland, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
