RFQ 10-04-02 Professional Architectural Services Experience Experience and Qualifications Project Approach As prime consultant, MC Harry Associates will be responsible for the overall project and will provide all archi- tectural services that may be required. We have on-going working relationships with a variety of specialty consultant firms that have expertise in materials testing, hazardous materials abatement and other special- ized professional services which can be accessed through us. Critical design/management responsibilities for each major task will be delegated to a design principal or senior associate with in-depth project related ex- perience. ADDroach and methodoloav Design Consensus: During the design phase of the project, MC Harry Associates will develop in-house 3D computer models to assist in defining and refining the architectural character of the project; allowing the owner to 'walk' the project for review and critique long before it is committed to construction. Technical Review: Technical reviews will be given the highest priority and will be expedited through our ex- perienced staff to achieve the shortest turn around time possible, while maintaining high standards of quality. These reviews will be based on our staff's complete working knowledge and expertise in the applicable codes and local standards. Our 53 year history of developing successful, well built public projects will be at your service. Specialized Studies and Interior Design Capabilities: Through our previous contracts for various govern- ment agencies, we have been called upon to perform specialized studies, investigations and reports docu- menting facts and recommendations to help ensure reliable decision-making. These have included structural investigations, planning and programming services, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance Stud- ies, Feasibility Studies, etc. MC Harry Associates has an in-house interior design staff to compliment our AlE capabilities. Use of technoloav / Software use Project Schedule: Following program verification, the AlE team will recommend a specific course of action, leading to the bid/award and construction of the project. A complete phased schedule of project activities will be developed identifying milestone dates for interim project submittals and technical reviews, contractor's NTP, substantial completion, and project closeout. Design Consensus: During the design phase of the project, MC Harry Associates will develop in-house 3D computer models to assist in defining and refining the architectural character of the project, allowing the owner to 'walk' the projects for review and critique long before they are committed to construction. Schedule Control: During the developmental stages of the project, MC Harry Associates routinely coordi- nates design concepts with the local permitting agencies with intent to solicit their input and avoid unexpected requests for change during the formal permitting process which could impact budget and/or schedule. Budget Control: MC Harry Associates routinely develops in-house project cost estimates, which can be back -checked through the services of a professional cost consultant.
