BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, end cost) <br /> <br />Modular Proaram <br />These projects at 11 different Miami-Dade County <br />Public School Sites were aimed to add as many <br />student stations as possible to the school campuses <br />while minimizing the impact of the addition on <br />available playing fields and other areas of high <br />importance. The student stations were added with <br />the construction of a Prototypical Modular Classroom <br />Building developed by Miami Dade County Public <br />Schools (M-DCPS) to alleviate overcrowding. Due to <br />the limited site conditions on several of the project <br />sites, the program required the removal and <br />replacement of existing buildings, shelters, <br />playground equipment and playfields. Apart from the <br />additions and renovations, Architeknics, Inc. was in <br />charge of providing access and verification of utility <br />services, Including electrical. sanitary and fire <br />sprinkler services. with upgrades to Fire Alarm and <br />Public Address Systems. Parking needs were <br />investigated and dealt with accordingly. Parking <br />Spaces were added to satisfy the increased number <br />of staff personnel that resulted from the addition of <br />the Modular Buildings. Architeknics, Inc. was also in <br />charge of providing mechanical buildings with <br />emergency generators, new prototype replacement <br />P.E. shelters, new walkways connecting existing <br />bUildings with new constructions, playground <br />equipment, new playflelds, new electrical main <br />buildings, and Irrigation systems. <br /> <br />Size: Various <br />Cost: $3,000,000 (Average Cost per Project) <br /> <br />c.
