BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS <br />CONTRACT (Include scope. size. and cost) <br /> <br />The school is planned to be located in an existing area of <br />affordable work force housing and will breathe new life into <br />the surrounding area by giving its children an opportunity <br />for an education with emphasis on sustainability. <br /> <br />The complete complex of approximately seven acres is <br />designed to meet the United States Green Building <br />Council's LEED Gold Certification. Exposed sustainable <br />features that are intended to act as an active learning <br />environment will include a rain collecting cistern for <br />irrigation, exposed mechanical equipment and interactive <br />kiosks. <br /> <br />The finished complex of over 70,000 square feet includes <br />the initial phase of classrooms, offices, and multipurpose <br />facilities (30000 sq. ft.)
