A prime example is his role as Vice President <br />of the Board of Directors of Alfalit International, a faith-based nonprofit <br />organization committed to fighting illiteracy around the world. He has received <br />numerous awards for his efforts on behalf of humanitarian causes including, as a <br />result of his work with Alfalit in West Africa, an honorary Doctorate of Humane <br />Letters degree from the United Methodist University of Liberia. <br /> <br />o Rex M. Barker / Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. <br />Mr. Barker joined the firm in 1993 and he is responsible for day-to-day operations <br />of the Corporate Office supervising all banking transactions and financial activity <br />of the firm. He currently manages a corporate staff of 25 specialized <br />professionals and where he excels in his financial management skills. In 2009, <br />Mr. Barker was directly responsible for refinancing over $230 million in company <br />assets which has provide Mr. Barker with an enviable team of financial managers <br />and a vast number of high-caliber banking relationships. <br /> <br />Mr. Barker has a degree in Business Administration from Northeastern <br />University, from which he also received the school's Consecration in <br />Management. Along with Mr. Joseph Milton, he also serves on the Executive <br />Committee and Board of Directors of Alfalit International. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />o Diego Medina / Executive Vice President, Engineering & Construction. <br />Mr. Medina has been involved with the company since 1990 as coordinator of all <br />construction projects where he has excelled in construction related <br />responsibilities that that has granted him an extensive and broad understanding <br />of structural technology as well as highly developed managerial and <br />organizational skills. <br /> <br />In addition to comprehensive project management of some of the company's <br />most significant developments Mr. Medina has managed upgrades, renovations, <br />and maintenance construction on virtually every property within the company's <br />extensive portfolio. A deep knowledge and experience in all phases of general <br />contracting grants Mr. Medina the opportunity to realize the unique visions and <br />concepts of the award-winning architects with whom the company works. <br /> <br />Mr. Medina is a graduate from Florida International University where he pursued <br />Mechanical Engineering curriculum and is a State-Certified General Contractor <br />and Roofing Contractor.
