Fawley, P.E. (25 I 8 Arbor Drive Fort Lauderdale, FL 333 12) and Michael J. Gai (10360 Grove Lane, Cooper City, FL 33328). The firm is licensed by the State of Florida Board of Professional Engineers and Surveyors and Mappers and operates as an S Corporation. Annual revenues in 2008 and 2009 were $2,280,000 and $ I ,300,000 respectively. The business has reported profit in both years; despite the current difficult economic environment (a balance sheet is enclosed). STE is certified as a Community Disadvantaged Business Enterprise in Broward County. STE is proud of our ability to fast track or expedite projects. Effective project management and adherence to operational protocol ensure that projects are completed in the most efficient and expeditious manner. Management of personnel time, performance and productivity combined with the great technological advancements in electronic data management and transfer enable STE to expedite permitting and communication with other consultants or agencies. One of the most time effective methods we utilize is a secure web site with a FTP link for City staff and/or other consultants to download and upload documents for prompt review and comment. This process allows others to view, print, measure, and mark up and revise 2D and 3D drawings. Utilizing this technology significantly reduces time for review and approval, project coordination for other disciplines, and is also eco-friendly by creating a fully paperless review and approval process which eliminates/minimizes shipping costs. STE currently utilizes this procedure with the Miami Dade Water and Sewer Department as well as many sub-consultants. The STE Team has staff resources that can be dedicated to this contract to effectively fulfill the requirements for issued task assignments. Chris Lips, the Project Manager, is the Director of all work in the Miami-Dade County and shall be committed to the City for the duration of the contract. STE shall dedicate sufficient staff to support the Project Manager on all assignments and shall ensure that these staff members are available at all times to complete tasks in the most prompt and professional manner. STE's Survey Department implements the latest technology GPS and Total Station in gathering information and can provide either two or three man crews depending on project demands. Electronic information collected in the field is downloaded into our CADD programs and the final surveys or engineering base sheets are produced using our own layering system as requested by Client.
