The firm was founded in Miami and the Principals and Staff are all long time residents with deep roots in the community. Over the past few years the firm has grown to sixty nine (69) employees, providing civil and structural engineering services for local public agencies. We have a permanent full-time staff that includes; eighteen (18) registered Professional Engineers (P.E.), twelve (12) Engineers in Training (E.I.) and two (2) LEED@ Accredited Professionals. The staff is fully equipped with state of the art computers, plotters, printers, scanners, and design software. Bee Engineering, Inc. prides itself on innovative approaches to solve the difficult challenges faced by our clients. Our staff makes every effort to understand the concerns and needs of the client and they are committed to providing optimal solutions for all issues involved. At Bee Engineering, we believe there is no other small civil engineering firm that has the depth and breadth of resources combined with the knowledge and experience that we offer the City of sunny Isles Beach. Our in-house capabilities translate into efficiency and increased productivity in the design and preparation of construction documents. This in turn means the City can also be certain that Bee will provide them with the best value. The firm over the last two years has been growing from a revenue standpoint. Our annual revenues for fiscal year 2008 were $5.5M and in 2009 they were $ll.5M. The firm is in a healthy financial state with no outstanding debt, over $500,000+ in accounts receivable and over $15M of backlog looking forward to the next 18 months. The office is located directly across from Dadeland Mall, with easy access to the Palmetto Expressway, US-1 and the MetroRail. All coordination for the project will be through this office. Bee Engineering has never in its history had a suit filed; claim filed; or assessed a back charge for work performed. The firm has also never had a negative, or any ruling for that matter, regarding a judgment or arbitrary proceeding since its inception. Project Awareness Incorporated in 1997 the City of Sunny Isles Beach has embarked on creating a City for its residents and businesses that promotes a sense of community, enhances its coastal resources and promotes economic opportunity and security. If selected as the City's engineering consultant our goal will be to assist the City in implementing the comprehensive plan in any aspects that relate to engineering. The City has identified 17 initial scope items in the RFQ as services that may be provided by the design consultant.
