City of Sunny Isles Beach - Professional Engineering Services RFQ No: 10-04-01 Request for Qualifications FIRM BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE' A & P Consulting Transportation Engineers (APCTE) was incorporated in the State of Florida in January 1995. Our office address is 10305 NW 41st Street, Suite 115, Doral, Florida 33178. We started as a three-employee company to provide plans production services to the Florida Department of Transportation (FOOT) eight district offices. Currently we are a multi disciplinary, consulting engineering firm based in Miami-Dade County specializing in Roadway Design, Transportation Planning, Traffic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Water Resources and Wastewater Disposal, Construction Management and Construction Engineering and Inspection Services. Today we have sixty-three (63) employees of which thirty- seven (37) are graduate civil engineers. Fifteen (15) of our engineers are registered in the state of Florida; one of our senior members had twenty years of experience working for FOOT (six of them as Assistant District Design Engineer). Our staff has a combined design experience of more than one-hundred (100) years working as employees of FOOT. Three of our engineers started working at FOOT in the Professional Engineers Training Program, worked as Project Engineers and Project Managers and later on moved to the consultant world. Currently we have open contracts with FDOT District IV, and VI offices, Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX), Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department, Miami-Dade Public Works Department, City of Doral, Village of Biscayne Park, Town of Miami Lakes, City of Hialeah, and as sub consultants with several other engineering firms. We have also been recently selected by the City of Miami and the City of Miami Beach to provide services for their Capital Improvements Program. Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) RECEIVED ~A Y tUOJJ!stf.n CITY OF SUNN~ES BEACH OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK WASHINGTON AVENUE IMPROVEMENT A & P is highly capable of providing services for the above mentioned specialties and is qualified by Miami-Dade County / FDOT for: major roadway design, construction management, cost estimating, highways, streets, parking lot, drainage, lighting (interior, display, theater, etc.), lighting (exterior, streets, memorials, athletic fields, etc.), sewage collection treatment and disposal, water supply, and traffic & transportation engineering. Likewise we are also capable of performing services of data collection, manipulation and data-basing for the purposes of preparing Roadway Characteristics Inventories, identification of Roadways Functional Classification, and updating the Highway Performance Monitoring System. Another facet of our company is the division of Construction Management and Construction Engineering and Inspection. The division has a cadre of well qualified graduate engineer inspectors headed by a registered professional engineer with more than 27 years of transportation engineering design and construction management experience; most of our CEI staff has attended all of the required Construction Training Qualification Program (CTQP) courses as required by the Florida Department of Transportation and other governmental agencies.
