<br />Mr. Soto has 28 years of experience providing geotechnical engineering
<br />and consulting services. These services include laboratory studies,
<br />geotechnical design, analyses and recommendations related to the
<br />design and construction of foundations and geotechnical exploration
<br />programs.
<br />
<br />Mr. Soto is knowledgeable in the analysis and evaluation of field and
<br />laboratory data, performing in-situ soil testing, in-place permeability
<br />testing, geophysical explorations and Special inspection services for
<br />commercial structures. He has evaluated bearing capacity and
<br />settlement for different types of shallow and deep foundation systems.
<br />His analysis has included the evaluation of retaining walls, sheet piling
<br />systems, slope stability analysis of conventional and reinforced
<br />embankments, evaluation of drilled shafts, augercast piles and driven
<br />piles. His experience includes the evaluation, design, and
<br />implementation of different subsurface improvement programs such as
<br />the application of dynamic compaction, preloading, compaction
<br />grouting, vibro-compaction techniques, and CSV System. He has
<br />performed studies including monitoring vibrations of structures during
<br />construction.
