All traffic control costs shall be a <br />part of the unit price proposal and shall not be paid for separately. <br /> <br />K11. This proposal item is to include the supplying of all necessary materials, supplies, labor, <br />equipment, fuel, and other miscellaneous necessities to move the Life Guard Stands on the <br />beaches in the City. This proposal item is intended to include both normal operating conditions <br />and extreme weather conditions. The Proposers, in either case, the Proposers must always <br />respond and have begun work within four hours of notification unless otherwise authorized in <br />writing by the City. <br /> <br />K12. This proposal item is to include the supplying of all necessary materials, supplies, labor, <br />equipment, fuel, and other miscellaneous necessities to appropriately cover over or remove, <br />as directed by the City, any graffiti. This proposal item is intended to include all work, <br />including any needed repairs required to allow the graffiti to be addressed. All work must <br />begin within eight hours of being notified by the City, and the work must proceed continuously <br />and expeditiously until the job is completed. The Proposers is responsible for immediately <br />notifying the City of any graffiti found during the regular servicing and inspection of the City. <br />In areas of traffic, the proposal will include all appropriate traffic control devices that conform <br />to an approved Management of Traffic (MOT) plan. All traffic control costs shall be a part of <br />the unit price proposal and shall not be paid for separately. <br /> <br />3.13 L. GENERAL TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />Ll. Accompanying these specifications is a list defining areas to be maintained. By submitting a <br />proposal, the proposers certifies that he/she is familiar with the sites and the proposed scope <br />of work, prior to submitting a proposal. The City reserves the right to remove specific <br />locations on a temporary or permanent basis, as deemed appropriate. <br /> <br />L2. All equipment shall be maintained in an efficient and safe operating condition while <br />performing work under the contract. Equipment shall have all proper safety devices required <br />by law, properly maintained, and in use at all times. If equipment does not contain proper <br />safety devices and/or is being operated in an unsafe manner, the City may direct the <br />Contractor to remove such equipment and/or the operator until the deficiency is corrected to <br />the satisfaction of the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The Contractor shall be solely responsible <br />and liable for injury to persons, and/or property damage caused by operation of the <br />equipment. All equipment will be inspected and evaluated by the City of Sunny Isles Beach, <br />prior to award of this proposal. The following equipment shall be located at the storage <br />satellite facility in the event of emergencies and be available to the City within the required <br />time frames: <br />. FDOT compliant arrow board and 75 FDOT compliant traffic cones. <br />. Backhoe-front end loader <br />. Twenty cubic yard dump truck <br />. Hydraulic 65 foot bucket truck <br />The City, at its sole discretion, may require that any of the special equipment be located in <br />the satellite storage site as specified herein. <br /> <br />L3. Special equipment required (in addition to Standard Maintenance Equipment). <br />· One 400 gallon portable water sprayer and one (1) 2500 PSI pressure washer. <br />· FDOT Compliant arrow board and 75 FDOT compliant traffic cones. <br />· Three fertilizer spreaders. <br />· One pull behind aerator, subject to Landscape Architect approval. <br />· Portable Stump Grinder 6" below grade <br /> <br />PAGE 31 OF 105 <br />PROPOSAL No. <br />
