BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope. size. and cost)

Zyscovich was hired to perform a facility study and program analysis to determine the space and functional requirements for a new city
hall and fire station to allow Cooper City to meet its current and future needs. Our analysis included a needs assessment. proposed
program. project budget. facility specifications and preliminary design. The firm is now engaged in the schematic design of the facility.

.

The space needs assessment included the determination of operations. space standards and space requirements for all aspects of the
existing city hall. The process of determining the space needs for the City Hall began with the development of a programming
questionnaire that was distributed to City department heads for their input. This questionnaire addressed such items as personnel
within each department including their responsibilities. interaction with other departments and the public. adjacencies. existing facility
provisions. special needs and recommendations to facilitate each department's efficiency. The surveys were completed through a series
of individual meetings with all stakeholders. Also included in the analysis is the formal documentation of existing floor plans and photos
of the existing City Hall.

Based upon our research and observations. a formal facility report and program requirement analysis were developed which outline the
space needs requirements of each City department in terms of approximate square footage. The new City Hall will include offices for
the City Commission. Mayor. City Manager. City Attorney. City Clerk. Finance Department. Building Department.
