This project is starting with the planning of the proposed improvements. KHA will design and permit all improvements in the CRA and Burkhardt Construction will construct the improvements. Landscape production manager for the Kimley-Horn team who, on behalf of Mercedes Homes. Inc.. performed a due diligence investigation for a 77.8-acre, agricultural-zoned property in the City of Homestead. Kimley-Horn performed land planning services in order to prepare the preliminary site plan for a 494-unit Planned Unit Development (PUD). Kimley-Horn submitted the preliminary site plan and obtained approval from the City of Homestead, which is the first step in the PUD approval process. The process included public meetings with the city's Development Review Committee. Planning and Zoning Board. and City Council. As a condition to City Council approval, we were required to coordinate public meetings with residents from two different neighboring communities in order to reach consensus about several aspects of the proposed development. The client subsequently retained Kimley-Horn to proceed with the next phase of the PUD planning and approval process. Cost $20.000. As part of the renaissance taking place along the Miami River. this project will include six high-rise towers with 3,000 luxury condominiums and more than 100,000 square feet of retail space. all connected by pedestrian plazas and covered arcades. Additional amenities include ten water features and more than 1,000 linear feet of riverfront improvements. The project follows the guidelines established by the Greenway Regulatory Enhancement Program, which was written by Kimley-Horn's Urban Resource Group (URG) and adopted by the City of Miami. AND SPECIFIC ROLE [Xl Check if project performed with current firm Empire World Towers will be the tallest lowers and condominiums in Miami, consisting of two oval 95-story buildings located on a two-acre parcel. The entire complex will contain close to 2.000 residential condominiums and more than 960,000 square feet of parking space and 62.000 square feet of commercial and office space. Mr. Bellamy's role includes landscape architecture production and urban design of the ground floor and upper-level amenity decks and for the preparation of the Major Use Special Permit (MUSP) documents.
