The expansion area was formerly farmland. The work involves master <br />planning, schematic design, permitting and site plan approval, community involvement, <br />design development, construction documents construction services, and post-construction <br />services. <br /> <br />The development program includes: a major universal access playground; picnic facilities, <br />including picnic shelters and rest rooms; basketball courts; accessible fishing and boating docks; nature trails with ecological <br />interpretive sign age; equestrian facilities with horse wash area, trails, trail heads, corral and horse trailer parking area; multi- <br />purpose trails with exercise stations; a gatehouse; maintenance facility, and a park administrative office building, <br /> <br />The primary purposes of the project are to help acquire and preserve an easily accessible open space and recreational area, <br />The park will be utilized for a combination of resource conservation and active/passive recreation purposes.
