JR., ASLA, AICP <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />properties and a significant archeological site, restoration and enhancement of natural <br />communities, re-use of existing buildings and the development of new recreational facilities. <br />Phase One included a multipurpose waterside pavilion, picnic areas, a refurbished 300-foot <br />dock in the Indian River Lagoon and other park amenities. The park won a Florida ASLA <br />Award of Honor in 2002. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Halpatiokee Regional Park - Martin County, FL - Project Manager for the preparation of <br />a master plan for this 180-acre park located adjacent to the environmentally sensitive St. <br />Lucie River. The plan included preservation and enhancement of natural ecological <br />communities and the development of new recreational facilities. The park includes a nature <br />center, softball/ baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts, roller hockey facilities, an overlook <br />of the St. Lucie River, multi-use trails and picnic facilities. <br /> <br /> <br />Various Public Improvements - Royal Palm Beach, FL - Pro-bono work included <br />workshop facilitation, planning and design of various public improvements throughout the <br />Counterpoint Estates neighborhood in Royal Palm Beach. Improvements included the <br />creation of a new neighborhood entrance, new and renovated park facilities. <br /> <br />Nob Hill Soccer Complex - Sunrise, FL - Project Manager for the creation of a soccer <br />complex master plan for the city. The master plan was approved and construction <br />documents were prepared and construction supervision performed for the project's <br />landscape, hardscape and irrigation. Features of the project included three lighted soccer <br />fields, two bocce courts, a community clubhouse building and associated site amenities. <br />The project won a 2002 Florida ASLA Award of Merit. <br /> <br />Sunrise Roller Hockey Facility - Sunrise, FL - Project Manager and Landscape Architect <br />for the creation of a park master plan for the city's roller hockey facility. Once the master <br />plan was approved, construction documents were prepared and construction supervision <br />was performed for the project's landscape, hardscape and irrigation. Features of the <br />project included three lighted roller hockey rinks, covered spectator areas, restroom and <br />storage facility and associated site amenities. Also featured was a courtyard area with <br />decorative pavers which emphasized the dynamics of the sport of roller hockey as well as <br />seating in the shape of hockey pucks. <br /> <br />~ <br />It <br /> <br />Neighborhood Parks Improvement Plan - Wellington, FL - Project Manager for the <br />analysis of 19 neighborhood parks within the Village, creation of design standards for parks <br />improvements, and the preparation of a three-tiered approach to improvements over a <br />seven-year period. The implementation plan included detailed cost estimates to allow for <br />budgeting yearly improvements during the CIP process. <br /> <br />~ <br />~ <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />FP&L Substation Design - Pompano Beach, FL - Project Manager responsible for the <br />urban design treatment of the perimeter of the expanded substation. Final solution included <br />a decorative wall treatment, gateway feature consistent with the neighborhood theme and <br />landscape design. <br /> <br />Traffic Calming Alternatives - North Lauderdale, FL - Project Designer for the planning <br />and design of traffic calming solutions throughout a City of North Lauderdale neighborhood. <br /> <br />~ <br />It <br /> <br />Southgate Linear Park - Tamarac, FL - Project Manager responsible for assisting the city <br />in the master planning of this greenway project.
