BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br /> <br />In order to support a rejuvenated retail environment along the renowned Miracle Mile corridor, the City of Coral Gables requested that <br />B&A design an 8-story parking garage that would support more than 600 spaces, and provide retail space along the ground floor on <br />an adjacent street. Designers were to follow strict guidelines calling for Mediterranean-style architecture synonymous with the City. <br /> <br />Designers created a 12,000 SF retail liner on the ground floor of the project. This is highlighted by a space specifically planned for a <br />local theater. The theater presented a particular challenge since the garage had to be sound insulated. A pedestrian promenade <br />contributes to the continued revitalization of the area. Our Civil Engineering Team provided design, permitting, project management <br />and construction administration for the full reconstruction of the roadway, sidewalk, landscaped islands, crosswalks and drainage <br />reconstruction.
