Ede1cup ~ <br />11/1812010 <br /> <br />Resolution to Co-Name 168th Terrace as "City Commissioner Roslyn <br />Brezin Street" <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Attached is a Resolution for the City Commission's consideration to co-name 168th <br />Terrace as "City Commissioner Roslyn Brezin Street". <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />City Commissioner Roslyn Brezin was one of the incorporators of the City that assisted <br />in the incorporation of Sunny Isles Beach,. She was an original member of the Charter <br />Review Committee when the City was first formed in 1997, and a member of the <br />Citizens' Planning Advisory Committee. She was appointed in 2003 to fill Mayor <br />Norman S. Edelcup's At-Large City Commissioner seat after the death of Mayor David <br />Samson. She ran unopposed in the last election, and she will now be the second <br />Commissioner, along with Commissioner Goodman, to term out due to term limits. It is <br />therefore appropriate and fitting that 168th Terrace be named "City Commissioner <br />Roslyn Brezin Street". <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br /> <br />Once approved, City staff will produce and install the proper signage in an amount not to <br />exceed $600. Further, City staff will plan a ceremony honoring Commissioner Roslyn <br />Brezin at a street dedication ceremony. <br /> <br />A TT ACHMENTS: <br />.
