COLIN BAENZIGER & ASSOCIATES - SOME OF OUR PLACEMENTS

The staff at Colin Baenziger & Associates has completed almost 100 searches for city and
county managers and more than 200 senior-level local government management searches overall.
The following both project descriptions and references span the past eight years. They were
selected to give you a broad view of our work. We also recommend that you contact any of
clients (not just those listed below) for information concerning our firm and would be happy to
provide contact information. More information is contained in Appendix A.

1. City Manager, City of Cape Canaveral, FL (population 10,200)
Contact: Mayor Rocky Randel at (321) 784-5894, or
Commissioner Shannon Roberts at (321) 615-1865.

Colin Baenziger & Associates was selected to perform Cape Canaveral's City Manager search
on January 12, 2010. We sought candidates from around the country but focused our attention
on those from Florida. The City Council interviewed the candidates we recommended but also
requested we evaluate the credentials of the City Clerk which caused a delay. On May 18th, the
City Council selected Mr. David Greene, formerly the City Manager of Winter Haven, FL.

2) Director, Economic and Workforce Development, and Deputy City Manager -
Community Building, Durham, NC (population 247,000)
Contact: City Manager Thomas Bonfield at (919) 560-4222

Colin Baenziger & Associates was hired to search for two key positions in Durham's economic
development program in January 2009.

The first was the Director of the Office of Economic and Workforce Development and the
second was the positions' supervisor, the Deputy City Manager - Community Building. We
conducted national searches for both positions. We also conducted limited background checks
and provided limited interviewing assistance. For the Director of Economic and Workforce
Development (OEWD), the City selected Kevin Dick, an internal candidate. It selected Keith
Chadwell, formerly Assistant County Manager for Fulton County, GA, and City Manager of
Pompano Beach, FL, to be the Deputy City Manager. Both searches took approximately four
months.

3) Community Development Director, City of Miami, FL (population 362,000).
Contact: Then Employee Relations Director Rosalie Mark, 954-328-3634

Colin Baenziger & Associates was hired in August 2007 to conduct a search for the City's next
Community Development Director. A particular request was to find someone with very strong
ethics. The prior director left after some perception problems in that area. Our effort involved
searching the country to locate the best people for the job, interviewing them, conducting
thorough background checks, and recommending finalists for the city to interview. It also
included a two year guarantee should the selected candidate leave for any reason. Interviews
were delayed while key City staff was involved in the negotiations for a new stadium for the
Florida Marlins that is now underway. Ultimately, George Mensah, an internal candidate, was
selected.

-27-
