will provide and install all required mulch at the contract unit prices. <br />L29. All mowing waste shall be removed and properly disposed of from curbs, gutters, and general <br />site. Weekend mowing is not allowed unless specifically authorized in writing by the City, <br />however, cleanup, as defined in these specifications, is required. The Government Center and <br />Charter School shall be mowed only on Saturdays. Wind -row mowing patterns are not <br />permitted. <br />L30. The mowing of all Bermuda turf is not to exceed 11 /2" height or as directed by the City, with a <br />hydrostatic reel type mower. Remove all clippings with each cut. Reel mowers shall be in <br />good repair and blades sharpened weekly. All Bermuda turf shall be mowed and edged a <br />minimum of two times per week, including weekends (104 cuts). Turf shall be cross -cut. <br />`Choice' mole cricket control (on Bermuda turf) chemical shall be used once per year during <br />the month of May. The Contractor shall follow the manufacturer's instructions for application <br />methods and amounts. The Contractor shall apply Diazanon, on Bermuda turf, and on an "as <br />needed" and curative basis only. The Contractor shall apply Daconil fungicide at the first <br />appearance of fungus and following the manufacturer's instructions for application methods <br />and amounts. <br />L31. For fungus control on Bermuda turf, the Contractor shall use two applications of Revere, <br />Subdue, or approved equal. The first application is to occur in March and the second <br />application is to occur in September. <br />L32. For weed control, on Bermuda turf, the Contractor shall use two applications of Pendulum or <br />Ronstar. The first application is to occur in March and the second application is to occur in <br />September, following the manufacturer's instructions for application methods and amounts. <br />L33. For fertilization on Bermuda turf, the Contractor shall apply Lesco 13 -2 -13 a minimum of <br />twelve times per year. The Contractor is responsible for contracting with a laboratory <br />approved by the City, to complete two soil analysis per year to verify the minor element <br />requirements, and adjust fertilizer application as needed. The Contractor will submit soil <br />analysis to City for review by City Landscape Architect. <br />L34. The Contractor shall aerate Bermuda turf with a turf aerator each month (12 times per year), <br />and shall coordinate dates for this work with the City. The mowing of all other areas (except <br />Bermuda turf) shall occur every ten calendar days from October 1St through April 1St and every <br />seven calendar days from April 1St through October 1St (44 cuts). Remove and properly <br />dispose of all visible grass clippings from curbs, gutters and general site. <br />L35. To maintain the ballfield, the Contractor shall drag, grade, stripe, and smooth the clay infield, <br />including base paths (days to be determined by City, including Sundays). The City will advise <br />the Contractor of additional field preparation, as needed, with a minimum of six hours notice. <br />The Contractor shall tamp mound area two times per week and fill in existing holes with <br />available clay (supplied by Contractor) and firm the area with a hand tamp. <br />L36. The Contractor shall edge, as required, to maintain a neat, clean appearance to maintain the <br />shape of planting beds as originally designed. <br />L37. The Contractor shall lift all trees over 20' height and adjacent to walks and vehicular areas to <br />a minimum of 12' of clear trunk, and maintain minimum of 8' clear trunk for all other trees. <br />The Contractor shall trim shrubs and ground cover, as needed.
