Project Man- ager and Technology Systems Engineerfor the Intelli- gent Building Systems (IBS) design for the Post's 500,000 square foot press plant building. This project integrated the voice, data, video, security and building controls into a single infrastructure saving substantial cost in the implementation and operation of the building. Project Manager for the design and construction administra- tion of the voice, data, security and AN systems for the new Corporate Headquarters and R &D Laboratory Campus. This project included the design the voice, data and video network infrastructure in three new build- ings on the campus. The data network design in- cludes 100 Mbs LAN connections at research sta- tions, consolidation of the voice and data infrastruc- ture, 3- dimensional genetic modeling applications, Ethernet switching, T -1 connections for LTI's world- wide WAN and planning for 155 Mbs Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) data transport. Security design included cameras, intrusion detection, loss preven- tion and card reader access systems. The A/V de- sign included a computer based training classroom, three lecture /training rooms and six conference /pre- sentation areas with audio /visual presentation and in- struction systems including digital video projection and sound systems, distance learning capabilities and video teleconferencing systems. Philip Morris USA, Richmond, VA. Project Execu- tive for the $40 million security and fire alarm upgrade. This upgrade included the design and implementation of new security and fire alarm equipment in 260 build- ings on three campuses. The project included a new security command center and WAN to tie all of the monitoring for the campuses to a central monitor and control point. Ministry of the Interior, Kuwait. Senior Telecommu- nications Engineer for the design of the telecommuni- cations and computer systems in the Administration Building and Computer Building. These two buildings house 2,500 token ring network users in 900,000 square feet. Responsible for the deign and implementation of eight automated toll collection lanes, vehicle de- tection and classification systems, multilingual changeable signage systems, surveillance systems, automated weather reporting systems and emer- gency communication systems.
