';lj ,j.l ~~ :1; <br /> <br />Crandon Boulevard, a State Historic Highway, <br />lost most of its' tree canopy during <br />Hurricane Andrew. ODA was retained by the <br />Village of Key Biscayne and the Florida <br />Department of Transportation, to replace and <br />augment lost tree canopy and restore this <br />major arterial roadway to its' original grandeur. <br />This improvement project included mature <br />Coconut Palms since Key Biscayne was <br />originally a coconut plantation, as well as <br />flowering groundcover. In addition, a below <br />ground low water consumption irrigation <br />system was installed.
