TOM BORDEN <br />MANAGER CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS <br />As Manager of Construction Operations for the Florida Division of The <br />Weitz Company, Tom Borden is responsible for overseeing staffing <br />assignments, initial project planning, cost and schedule analysis, owner <br />and subcontractor negotiations, and employee training, to name a few. <br />Most importantly, Tom will oversee the transition period from estimating <br />to operations, assuring a smooth turnover. <br />EDUCATION <br />Colorado State University, Bachelor of Science in Industrial <br />Construction Management, 1977 <br />University of Delaware, Pre Dental /Biology, Athletic Scholarship, <br />1974 <br />EXPERIENCE, <br />Tom has been involved in the construction industry for more than 22 years, 15 of them with our firm. In <br />addition to his current role as Construction Manager, Tom has held the positions of Senior <br />Preconstruction Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Project Superintendent. <br />Throughout his career, Tom has continually been asked to oversee some extremely challenging projects. <br />He is well versed will both large and small -scale design/build, general construction, and construction <br />management assignments.
