TOM BORDEN MANAGER CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS As Manager of Construction Operations for the Florida Division of The Weitz Company, Tom Borden is responsible for overseeing staffing assignments, initial project planning, cost and schedule analysis, owner and subcontractor negotiations, and employee training, to name a few. Most importantly, Tom will oversee the transition period from estimating to operations, assuring a smooth turnover. EDUCATION Colorado State University, Bachelor of Science in Industrial Construction Management, 1977 University of Delaware, Pre Dental /Biology, Athletic Scholarship, 1974 EXPERIENCE, Tom has been involved in the construction industry for more than 22 years, 15 of them with our firm. In addition to his current role as Construction Manager, Tom has held the positions of Senior Preconstruction Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Project Superintendent. Throughout his career, Tom has continually been asked to oversee some extremely challenging projects. He is well versed will both large and small -scale design/build, general construction, and construction management assignments. His completed projects include commercial office buildings, hotels and resorts, retail establishments, multi - family residences, senior living facilities, mid and high -rise structures, public facilities, and institutions.
