Then, <br />one year later, the developer brought Weitz on under a negotiated team - approach <br />basis. Plan review, constructability, and aggressive value analysis services were <br />provided to minimize cost of construction and schedule duration through creative <br />options without sacrificing aesthetics or quality. More than 8% savings was <br />achieved under the original year -old construction budget through these efforts. <br />This 5- story, cassion foundation, steel frame, EIFS exterior core and shell base <br />building was completed in only 10 months. Eight months into construction, Weitz <br />accelerated the completion by over one month through shift work, weekends, <br />schedule interdependencies, and aggressive on -site management to meet devel- <br />oper /tenant requirements.
