SECTION 02910 <br />EXISTING TREE RELOCATION <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br />A. Drawings and provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and <br />Division -1 Specification sections, apply to Work of this section. Related sections containing <br />requirements affecting the Work of this section include, but are not limited to the following: <br />A. Irrigation System - Section 02810 <br />B. Landscape - Section 02900 <br />1.02 REFERENCES <br />A. Comply with applicable requirements ofthe following standards and references. In case of conflict with <br />other specified requirements, the most stringent requirements shall govern. <br />1. Florida Department of Agriculture: Grades and Standards for Nursery Plants Part 11- Palms <br />and Trees. <br />2. American National Standards Institute (ANSI): Z60.1 - American Standards for Nursery <br />Stock. <br />3. National Arborist Association (NAA): Ref. I - Transplanting of Trees and Shrubs in the <br />Northeastern and North Central United States. <br />4. State of Florida Division of Forestry: Tree Protection Manual for Builders and Developers <br />(1986). <br />1.03 DESCRIPTION <br />A. Tree relocation of all existing trees will occur within the geographical boundaries of the City of Sunny <br />Isles Beach, Florida. All areas where relocated trees are to be planted are directly accessible to tree <br />planting equipment. Coordinate tree relocation with CONSULTANT. <br />B. Relocation will be as shown on plans. <br />C. The CONTRACTOR will be responsible for backfilling of planting pits. <br />D. Remove other existing trees, shrubs, vines and undergrowth as specified or as indicated on plans, or <br />as directed by the CONSULTANT, to accommodate new plantings. <br />1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A- CONTRACTOR to be qualified in tree and palm relocation, in conformance with all state and local <br />regulations and requirements for permitting. CONTRACTOR to provide (3) references, documenting <br />similar Work satisfactorily performed, upon request of CONSULTANT. <br />B. CONTRACTOR to exercise care and caution with relocation operations, and provide root pruning in <br />02910 -1 <br />
