iJ <br />I <br />C. Hose: <br />1 . Type: New /12 inch diameter 2 -ply reinforced rubber or plastic <br />hose. <br />2. Minimum size: 3/4 in. <br />D. Turnbuckles: <br />1. Turnbuckles are recommended but not required. Landscape <br />Contractor shall be responsible for keeping taut all guyed plant <br />material and for keeping flagging in place. One turnbuckle per <br />guy wire is required if used. <br />2. Method of tightening guy wires to be approved by Landscape <br />Architect. <br />3. Guying to be tightened as needed, but always within two days <br />of when found necessary. <br />2.05 SLOPE STABILIZATION <br />A. Landscape contractor shall be responsible to stabilize grades by <br />approved methods where necessary at his own cost. <br />B. Contractor shall stabilize all sloped areas 3 to 1 or greater and areas <br />found to be required to reduce surface erosion by the Owner's <br />Representative with "Hold Gro" Erosion Control Fabric as <br />manufactured by Gulf States Paper Company, Tuscaloosa, <br />Alabama or approved equal. Contractor shall install erosion control <br />fabric according to the manufacturer's instructions. <br />2.06 DRAINAGE GRAVEL <br />A. Drainage gravel shall be River Run Gravel and shall be of graduated <br />sizes. <br />B. River Run Gravel shall be no smaller than one -half inch nor larger than <br />two inches in any direction. <br />C. Gravel shall be installed as shown on drawings or to a minimum depth <br />of 2 inches above drains, and 4 inches throughout planters. <br />D. Gravel shall be washed clean and contain no chemical elements <br />harmful to plant growth. <br />E. Coral rock shall not be used. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSPECTION <br />A. Verify final grades have been established prior to beginning planting <br />operation. <br />B.
