Exception to Documents
Paragraph 3 on page 00300 -3 states that "...Bidder also agrees to complete entire work
within 30 days after Contract time commences to run." Please be advised that a longer
time line will be required in order to allow FPL sufficient time to make electrical tap. The
normal sequence of events is as follows:
1. Service points must be built.
2. A representative from the City must verify that Service points are built to
Contract Documents and to N.E.C. and request a hookup from FPL. (STI will
provide the city with signed and notorized document attesting to conformance.)
3. Upon receipt of FPL connection fee and set up of account, FPL will set up a work
order for the hookup. FPL requires a minimum of three (3) weeks for hookup.
It is possible to complete all of the work within 30 days provided submittal and material
acquisition time is allowed. If awarded, STI would ask for a construction time of 60 C/D
following receipt of materials.
Signed: Date: D
Kelly D. Wood
