�I <br />D. Storage: <br />1. Balled and burlapped plant stock: Deliver direct from nursery. <br />' 2. Bare root plant material: Deliver direct from supplier. <br />3. Protect roots of all plant material from drying or other possible <br />injury. Keep plant root ball and crown moist at all times. <br />4. Store plants in shade and protect from weather. Heel in trees in <br />' a vertical position as required. Irrigate all stored plants as <br />required. <br />5. Maintain and protect plant material not to be planted within four <br />hours. Plant palms upon delivery. <br />E. Handling: <br />' 1. Do not drop plants. <br />2. Do not pick -up container or balled plants by stems or trunks. <br />3. Do not use chains or cables on any trees or palms. Handle <br />' using nylon straps, 2 inche width min. <br />1.06 JOB CONDITIONS <br />A. Planting Season: Perform actual planting only when weather and soil <br />conditions are suitable in accordance with locally accepted practice. <br />' B. Verify that all existing trees to remain are properly identified and <br />barricaded to prevent damage under this and future construction. <br />Landscape Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining adequate <br />' identification and barricading of all existing plant material to remain <br />throughout the installation and required maintenance period. <br />1.07 GUARANTEE <br />A. Guarantee all plant material as for one year after substantial <br />completion. <br />1 B. Replacement plants under this guarantee shall be replaced within two <br />weeks of rejection and guaranteed for twelve months from date of <br />installation. <br />C. Repair damage to other plants, lawn or construction work during plant <br />replacement at no cost to the Owner (this includes, but is not limited <br />to, damage to curbs, walks, roads, fences, site furnishings, etc.). <br />1.08 SCHEDULING <br />' A. Install trees, shrubs, and ground cover before lawns are installed. <br />I B.
