F. Sealant color shall be selected by the Engineer. <br />2.02 EXPANSION JOINTS - OTHER <br />A. Premolded joint filler shall be 3/4 -inch thick or as shown on the <br />Drawings and shall be a self- expanding cork, Servicised Products, <br />W.R. Grace and Company, Code No. 4324 equal by W.R. Meadows, <br />Inc., or approved substitution. <br />B. Joint sealant shall be a two - component synthetic rubber compound <br />based on Thiokol liquid polysulphide polymer by W.R. Grade and <br />Company, Toch Bros., Tremco Co., or equal. Sealant shall develop a <br />Shore Hardness of at least 30 after seven days curing. Back -up <br />material where required shall be approved closed cell polyethylene <br />foam rods of diameters to suit joint conditions. <br />C. Primer shall be as recommended by sealant manufacturer. <br />' 2.03 WATERSTOPS <br />A. Waterstops for construction joints, where indicated, shall be 8 or 12 <br />Iinches x 1/8-inch steel and be hot - dipped galvanized. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />' 3.01 INSTALLATION <br />A. <br />Steel waterstops shall have all joints fully welded and shall be carefully <br />set and held in place so that 4- inches extends straight into concrete <br />placement at each side of joint. <br />B. <br />Premolded joint fillers shall be installed at all locations shown on the <br />Drawings. <br />C. <br />Joint sealant for all joints indicated on the Drawings shall be placed to <br />' <br />the depths shown. Preparation of surfaces, priming, and the handling <br />and preparation of materials shall be in complete compliance with the <br />manufacturer's instructions as approved. <br />D. <br />Flex -Seal systems shall be installed in accordance with the <br />manufacturer's recommendations. <br />END OF SECTION <br />07/03 <br />03251 -2 03- 4138.A <br />
