'PART 2- PRODUCTS <br />' 2.01 TREE PROTECTION FENCING <br />A. Tree protection fencing shall be: <br />' 1. Mesh fence 6 ft. high minimum, with 4 "x4 "x6' pressure treated wood posts. <br />B. Posts shall be spaced l Oft. on center maximum. <br />tC. Fencing other than that specified above shall be subject to the approval of the Architect. <br />' PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSTALLATION OF FENCING <br />' A. Prior to start of demolition work and clearing and grubbing operations, tree protection <br />fencing shall be installed in accordance with the following: <br />t 1. Fencing shall be installed at the tree protection areas as directed by the <br />Landscape Architect. <br />2. Fencing shall be located along the cut and fill lines staked by the project <br />' surveyor and approved by the Architect and Owner. <br />3.02 ROOT PRUNING <br />' A. Where construction will be in close proximity to existing trees designated to remain, <br />roots shall be pruned. Proximity shall be as determined in the field by the Architect. <br />Root pruning shall be performed as specified in Section 02490 TREES, PLANTS AND <br />' GROUND COVERS. <br />3.03 CLEARING WITHIN PROTECTION AREAS <br />' A. Selective clearing within tree protection areas shall only be performed when and as <br />directed by the Architect. <br />' 3.04 REMOVAL OF PROTECTION <br />A.
