In cases where the Embeco is employed in multiple patches and a rusty finish is not desired <br />on the surface, such as exposed faces of walls, etc., the final layer (or at least the final 1/2 <br />inch) shall be composed of the 1 1.5 grout without Embeco. After hardening, rub lightly as <br />described above for form tie holes. <br />3.12 INSTALLATION SCHEDULE <br />A. Concrete for all structures shall have minimum compressive strength at 28 days of 3000 psi <br />unless otherwise indicated on the drawings. <br />' 3.13 FIELD CONTROL <br />A. The Contractor shall advise the Engineer of his readiness to proceed at least one working <br />day prior to each concrete placement. The Engineer will inspect the preparations for <br />concreting including the preparation of previously placed concrete, the reinforcing and the <br />alignment and tightness of formwork. No placement shall be made without the prior <br />approval of the Engineer. <br />B. The Engineer may have cores taken from any questionable area in the concrete work such <br />as construction joints and other locations as required for determination of concrete quality. <br />The results of tests on such cores shall be the basis for acceptance, rejection or determining <br />the continuation of concrete work. <br />C. The Contractor shall cooperate in obtaining cores by allowing free access to the work and <br />' permitting the use of ladders, scaffolding and such incidental equipment as may be <br />required. The Contractor shall repair all core holes to the satisfaction of the Engineer. The <br />work of cutting and testing the cores will be at the expense of the Owner if cores test <br />satisfactorily and will be at the expense of the Contractor if cores test unsatisfactorily. <br />END OF SECTION <br />t <br />1 <br />I� <br />1 12/04 03300 -13 03 -4138 <br />
