SECTION 00800 ISUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS t The following supplements modify, change from or add to the Standard General Conditions of the Construction Contract, EJCDC Document 1910 -8, 1996 Edition. Where any Article of the General Conditions is modified or any Paragraph, Subparagraph or Clause thereof is modified or deleted by these ' supplements, the unaltered provisions shall remain in effect. ARTICLE 1 - DEFINITIONS AND TERMINOLOGY ' Add the following sentence to 1.28 Notice of Award: "When requested by OWNER, the Notice of Award may be issued by the ENGINEER." ' Add the following sentence to 1.29 Notice to Proceed: "When requested by OWNER, the Notice to Proceed may be issued by ENGINEER." ' Add the following terms after Paragraph 1.50: 1.51 ARCHITECT /ENGINEER - The person, firm or corporation named as the ENGINEER in the ' Agreement. 1.52 Provide - As used in the Project Manual, means to furnish and install, complete and ready for ' intended use. 1.53 Product - As used in the Project Manual, includes materials, fabrications, systems and equipment. ' 1.54 Project Manual - The volume of written construction documents, including the Bidding Documents, sample forms, and the Contract Documents, such as the Conditions of the Contract and the Specifications. ARTICLE 2 - PRELIMINARY MATTERS Add the following to Paragraph 2.01.: "If the Work is to be commenced prior to execution of the ' Agreement in response to a letter of intent, CONTRACTOR shall, prior to commencement of the Work, submit evidence satisfactory to OWNER that such bonds will be furnished." In the first line of Paragraph 2.02., change the term "...ten..." to read "...six... ". Delete Paragraph 2.03. and replace with the following: ' 2.03. The date of commencement of the Work is the date established in a Notice to Proceed. If there is no Notice to Proceed, it shall be the date of the OWNER - CONTRACTOR Agreement or such other date ' as may be established therein. Add the following to Paragraph 2.05.: ' D. CONTRACTOR shall perform no portion of the Work at any time without Contract Documents or, where specified, approved Shop Drawings for such portion of the Work. t 1 12/04 00800 -1 04 -4801
