<br />1.2.2 The drawings herein referred to, consist of drawings prepared by the AlE and are <br />enumerated in the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />1.2.3 Drawings are intended to show general arrangements, design, and dimensions of work and <br />are partly diagrammatic. Dimensions shall not be determined by scale or rule. If figured <br />dimensions are lacking, they shall be supplied by the AlE on the Contractor's written request to <br />the City's Representative. <br /> <br />1.2.4 The intent of the Contract Documents is to include all items necessary for the proper <br />execution and completion of the Work by the Contractor. The Contract Documents are <br />complimentary, and what is required by one shall be as binding as if required by all; performance <br />by the Contractor shall by required only to the extent consistent with the Contract Documents <br />and reasonably inferable from them as being necessary to produce the intended results. <br /> <br />1.2.5 In the event of inconsistencies within or between parts of the Contract Documents, or <br />between the Contract Documents and applicable standards, codes and ordinances, the Contractor <br />shall (1) provide the better quality or greater quantity of Work or (2) comply with the more <br />stringent requirement; either or both in accordance with the City's Representative's <br />interpretation. On the Drawings, given dimensions shall take precedence over scaled <br />measurements, and large scale drawings over small scale drawings. Before ordering any <br />materials or doing any Work, the Contractor and each Subcontractor shall verify measurements <br />at the Work site and shall be responsible for the correctness of such measurements. Any <br />difference which may be found shall be submitted to the City's Representative and AlE for <br />resolution before proceeding with the Work. If a minor change in the Work is found necessary <br />due to actual field conditions, the Contractor shall submit detailed drawings of such departure for <br />the approval by the City's Representative and AlE before making the change. <br /> <br />1.2.6 Data in the Contract Documents concerning lot size, ground elevations, present <br />obstructions on or near the site, locations and depths of sewers, conduits, pipes, wires, etc., <br />position of sidewalks, curbs, pavements, etc., and nature of ground and subsurface conditions <br />have been obtained from sources the AlE believes reliable, but the AlE and City do not represent <br />or warrant that this information is accurate or complete. The Contractor shall verify such data to <br />the extent possible through normal construction procedures, including but not limited to <br />contacting utility City's and by prospecting. <br /> <br />1.2.7 Only work included in the Contract Documents is authorized, and the Contractor shall do <br />no work other than that described therein and incidental to the completion of the Work. <br /> <br />1.2.8 Execution of the Contract by the Contractor is a representation that the Contractor has <br />visited the site, become familiar with local conditions under which the Work is to be performed <br />and correlated personal observations with requirements of the Contract Documents. Contractor <br />represents that it has performed its own investigation and examination of the Work site and its <br />surroundings and satisfied itself before entering into this Contract as to: <br /> <br />.1 conditions bearing upon transportation. disposal, handling, and storage of materials; <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />...... <br /> <br />5 <br />
